Tuesdays:
4-5pm Modern Jazz (ages 8-16)
5-6pm Storytelling (ages 8-16)
Wednesdays:
3:30 - 4:45 pm Pangea Hip Hop Arts (ages 8-14)
5 - 6:30 pm Drawing & Animation (ages 8-16)
Thursdays:
4-5pm Visual Arts & Puppet Theater (ages 5-15)
5-6pm Pre Ballet (ages 5-7)
Class Descriptions
Modern Jazz: An open level class using Simonson technique to help dancers focus on their individual strengths and develop their understanding of how their bodies move through space.
Storytelling: A writing workshop designed to support students in taking their writing seriously and viewing themselves as writers. The goal is to develop an intentional creative practice. During class, students will have time to work independently and with their peers. They will engage in the writing process by completing prompts, working on original stories, revising, editing, and sharing their work.
Pre Ballet: Ballet is the foundation of all dances. Your child will learn proper Ballet terms in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
Pangea Hip Hop Arts: Pangea Hip Hop classes this year will include many elements of the culture to celebrate the 50 yr anniversary of Hip Hop and its vibrant legacy! This includes breakdancing, dj'n, emcee & rapping ( both written and freestyle skills ), all hip hop dance forms , beatboxing, graffiti and all forms of hip hop visual art, beat production, hip hop fashion design, creating own business, and hip hop history along with special guests! Students will be in a high creative and active environment where they can fully bring their imagination to life with the magic of hip hop and begin to collab with other classmates to create a final project to present at our winter presentation!!
Drawing & Animation: Join the TPC Animation Team! Learn traditional animation, claymation, and many more techniques while creating your own animated projects!
Visual Arts & Puppet Theater: Learn to create abstract settings and collage backgrounds using recycled materials for our Puppetry scenes. Puppetry is a fun and exciting way for children of all ages to learn stagecraft, storytelling, performance.
